I know it’s only been five days, but come on…
The huge toddler we have placed into the White House and in charge of one of the three branches of government, is a crazy person who has proven himself incapable of caring about anyone but himself. Did you see his “performance” at the CIA, the day after his inauguration? There he was, in front of the Wall of Stars, which is a sacred place for intelligence operatives. And let’s be real here: as much as we tend to worship the troops these days (and there is nothing wrong with that – my son was one of them), the people who put their lives on the line gathering intelligence that is used to keep everyone safe, deserve every bit of our dedication and honor. They volunteer for this work and it keeps us safe.
Anyway, there he was, using this sacred CIA space as a backdrop for what turned out to be a campaign speech. And, just like every speech during his campaign, it was all about himself and his ego, especially his own ego. I mean, Lord Donny actually brought up the crowd size at his inauguration again. As if anyone but him cares one bit about that kind of thing. Of course, that was on the rare occasion that he made any sense at all. If you thought Donny’s inaugural speech was horrible drivel, try and read some of this. This is a transcript, as released by the White House. You can’t make this up. Here is a snippet:
(DONNY): Well, I want to thank everybody. Very, very special people. And it is true, this is my first stop, officially. We’re not talking about the balls, or we’re not talking about even the speeches — although they did treat me nicely on that speech yesterday. (Laughter.) I always call them the dishonest media, but they treated me nicely. (Laughter.)
But I want to say that there is nobody that feels stronger about the intelligence community and the CIA than Donald Trump. There’s nobody. (Applause.)
The wall behind me is very, very special. We’ve been touring for quite a while, and I’ll tell you what — 29? I can’t believe it.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Twenty-eight.
(DONNY): Oh, 28. We got to reduce it. That’s amazing. And we really appreciate what you’ve done in terms of showing us something very special. And your whole group, these are really special, amazing people. Very, very few people could do the job you people do. And I want to just let you know, I am so behind you. And I know maybe sometimes you haven’t gotten the backing that you’ve wanted, and you’re going to get so much backing. Maybe you’re going to say, please don’t give us so much backing. (Laughter.) Mr. President, please, we don’t need that much backing. (Laughter.) But you’re going to have that. And I think everybody in this room knows it.
You know, the military and the law enforcement, generally speaking, but all of it — but the military gave us tremendous percentages of votes. We were unbelievably successful in the election with getting the vote of the military. And probably almost everybody in this room voted for me, but I will not ask you to raise your hands if you did. (Laughter.) But I would guarantee a big portion, because we’re all on the same wavelength, folks. (Applause.) We’re all on the same wavelength, right? He knows. It took Brian about 30 seconds to figure that one out, right, because we know we’re on the same wavelength.
But we’re going to do great things. We’re going to do great things. We’ve been fighting these wars for longer than any wars we’ve ever fought. We have not used the real abilities that we have. We’ve been restrained. We have to get rid of ISIS. Have to get rid of ISIS. We have no choice. (Applause.) Radical Islamic terrorism. And I said it yesterday — it has to be eradicated just off the face of the Earth. This is evil. This is evil. And you know, I can understand the other side. We can all understand the other side. There can be wars between countries, there can be wars. You can understand what happened. This is something nobody can even understand. This is a level of evil that we haven’t seen. And you’re going to go to it, and you’re going to do a phenomenal job. But we’re going to end it. It’s time. It’s time right now to end it. (Source)
It goes on like that. Check out the syntax. If you want a sterling example of someone with severe ADD, there is no better one. Check out this snippet for another example:
We had another one yesterday, which was interesting. In the Oval Office there’s a beautiful statue of Dr. Martin Luther King. And I also happen to like Churchill, Winston Churchill. I think most of us like Churchill. He doesn’t come from our country, but had a lot to do with it. Helped us; real ally. And, as you know, the Churchill statue was taken out — the bust. And as you also probably have read, the Prime Minister is coming over to our country very shortly. And they wanted to know whether or not I’d like it back. I say, absolutely, but in the meantime we have a bust of Churchill.
So a reporter for Time magazine — and I have been on there cover, like, 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time Magazine. Like, if Tom Brady is on the cover, it’s one time, because he won the Super Bowl or something, right? (Laughter.) I’ve been on it for 15 times this year. I don’t think that’s a record, Mike, that can ever be broken. Do you agree with that? What do you think?
But I will say that they said — it was very interesting — that Donald Trump took down the bust, the statue, of Dr. Martin Luther King. And it was right there. But there was a cameraman that was in front of it. (Laughter.) So Zeke — Zeke from Time Magazine writes a story about I took down. I would never do that because I have great respect for Dr. Martin Luther King. But this is how dishonest the media is.
Now, if you’re thinking to yourself, “What the hell does this have to do with the CIA?” don’t feel bad. You see the problem. This is a man who is incapable of talking about anything but himself. This is a man with low self-esteem who desperately needs everyone else’s love and approval. He needs to be loved and worshipped and that is dangerous as hell.
The leader of a country has to be strong and decisive and Donny is anything but. I know a lot of Trumpies right now are saying I’m wrong because he talks tough, but truly strong people don’t actually have to talk tough, at least publicly. President Kennedy didn’t publicly dress down Nikita Khrushchev and the entire USSR when he got him to back down in the Cuban Missile Crisis, for example. President Obama didn’t have to talk tough publicly when he was president; he led through strength. That’s what true leaders do, after all. A truly great man or woman doesn’t tell everyone how great they are because they don’t have to. Only someone who knows he’s not great has to constantly tell you he is. The only people who hide who they are to the extent that Lord Donny does are those who don’t want you to know they’ve been lying to you all along. Those of you who voted for Donny are victims of one of the most successful long cons in the history of the world. Some of you may have read about how Rodrigo Borgia essentially bought the papacy to become Pope Alexander VI… this is worse.
And we should worry about the effects of this kind of thing. Donny is seen as weak as hell right now and that perception will continue to get worse, unless he actually changes focus away from himself. If the people in this country are to be safe, other countries have to see our leadership and strong, and that is not what they see. This week, China brought forth the fact that they now have an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Dong-Feng 41, and they are deploying them along their border with Russia. (Source) That’s not the worrisome part, believe it or not. Their announcement clearly said that the deployment was in response to Trump’s troublesome rhetoric, especially the “America First” doctrine he spouted in that horrible inauguration speech. Week, that and his overtures to and challenging statements about Taiwan.
I don’t know about you, but instead of trying to get a few hundred thousand extra for a condo in a Trump-named building, they should be going at bargain-basement prices because Lord Donny’s asinine statements are putting a target on his back, along with the rest of us. For the two months of transition and five days of occupying the White House, Donny is demonstrating himself to be completely tone-deaf to what his job entails and he’s putting us all at risk in the process. China is only the beginning. If the Chinese see him as weak, so will terrorist groups, who would love to pull off something major again after 15 years since 9/11. It’s time someone reined Lord Donny in.
According to reports from a White House that leaks like a glass-bottom boat with bullet holes in the glass, he has a temper tantrum pretty much every day already, and he’s just started. Check out this passage from New York Magazine about what led to Press Secretary Sean Spicer giving that horrible quickie statement, where he lied about the size of Donny’s… crowd:
(Donny) had just returned to the White House on Saturday from his final inauguration event, a tranquil interfaith prayer service, when the flashes of anger began to build.
Trump turned on the television to see a jarring juxtaposition — massive demonstrations around the globe protesting his day-old presidency and footage of the sparser crowd at his inauguration, with large patches of white empty space on the Mall. As his press secretary, Sean Spicer, was still unpacking boxes in his spacious new West Wing office, Trump grew increasingly and visibly enraged…Over the objections of his aides and advisers — who urged him to focus on policy and the broader goals of his presidency — the new president issued a decree: He wanted a fiery public response, and he wanted it to come from his press secretary. (Source)
The Washington Post piece they reference goes into a lot more detail, with Donny claiming that Spicer wasn’t “forceful enough.” You know, because he believes that the tone of one’s voice is what determines how “strong” you are. You have to read this. This is not a strong person and he’s going to get a bunch of us killed. (Source) While it can be entertaining to watch a toddler have a hissy fit, we can’t necessarily survive too much of a president who acts like a 70-year-old toddler, at least not without too many casualties. He’s actually inciting war with this kind of behavior, and we don’t want that.
